Join Daytona State College Professors for These Intriguing Series of Film Screenings

This film series brings together films that explore the ways we shape our sense of self in those certain moments of our lives when we confront ourselves as gendered and embodied people.
Join Daytona State College professor Eric Breitenbach and other guest faculty for film introductions and post screening discussions. All films will be shown, when possible, with captions for the hearing impaired.

On September 7th, we will be screening Carl Theodor Dreyer’s 1924 film, “Michael.” This film is based on Herman Bang's 1902 novel Mikaël, and it tells the story of a famous painter who falls in love with one of his models when a bankrupt countess comes between them, and he is seduced and swindled.
